Elli's view: Work Experience at Boxfresh ...

The first day of any new routine is always daunting, I met up with Daniel who I know quite well and he took me round the office introducing me to people and giving me my 2 week schedule. I am hopeless at remembering names and so when there were 15 or so of them being thrown at me I thought “forget it!” But, I have to say I think I did quite well, I know NEARLY everyone’s names and I think most of them know mine!
I have been doing pretty much everything there is to do in the office and I spent a day in Covent Garden in the store which was really fun. However, I don’t think my strong point was dressing mannequins- but it’s alright, the arms are supposed to come off!
I think Lacey has done very well as she had to put up with me the longest, so thanks for that Lacey! Ayesha has been great, making sure I am alright and not bored, Vicky is just hilarious and great fun to be around and Sarah and Julia have been my desk island buddies!
I have really, really loved it and as tempting as it is to quit school and come along to work here properly, you guys will just have to wait ‘til the holidays and the sample sales and I will be back!
So overall, thank you all so much for the best work experience ever!

Happy Valentines Day!

The Boxfresh team were spreading the luuuurvvvee today!

A day of mutual appreciation and self adulation was enjoyed by all.

Participating loved-uppers dressed in the spirit of the day - lots of red BF tees/knits (you name it, we got it) and some fun loving badges too.

Efforts were rewarded with fabulous treats. Special mention to the heart shaped confection - ladies you have taken party snacks to an entirely new level!

Cue soppy Celine beats (and was that Dolly Parton or just a sugar induced hallucination?) courtesy of resident DJ Keza.

Add a bunch of Boxfreshers ...

And what do you get?!!

A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Ben's birthday barbeque. big shout to Graphic techniques for another splendid BBQ. Muchos Gracias Senors.

Evolving Styles this Friday

The huge success of the first two auctions has already set the tone for this summer’s most original night out. However, this Friday’s event is the one that graff-heads, aficionados, artists and art collectors have really been waiting for. Making an exclusive UK appearance will be the legendary Lady Pink - the most famous female graffiti artist in the world. Lady Pink (who you may remember from her starring role in the seminal hip hop movie, Wild Style) will be creating six original canvases live on Friday night, which will then be auctioned off for charity. As if this wasn’t enough, we also have acclaimed artist, Nick Walker who, along with Banksy, is one of the originators of the infamous Bristol stencil scene. This is a rare opportunity for anyone to invest in a piece of street art history*and highly valuable works of art*with all proceeds going to charity.

Naturally an event of this magnitude requires music to match, so in the interests of getting the party truly rocking, we have enlisted the help of the mighty Punks Jump Up to provide the evening’s soundtrack. At 8p.m. the auction begins where anyone can bid on their preferred canvas. At 9p.m., the highest bidders will get to take home their one-off pieces of art with them.
