Boxfresh launch goes with a bang!

Lights, Drummers, Action; Boxfresh kicked off their launch for AW08 with a bang on Tuesday night. The runway on level five played host to a collection of Boxfresh must haves. Models magnumed and blue steeled their way down, sporting sexy, Grace Jones inspired pieces with flashes of orchid and violet from the mainrange collections and block colours with geometric lines from LTD. The entire Boxfresh collection stems with core, rises to direction and elevates to the high end range; LTD, catering for the street savvy consumer to the edgy taste maker. The evening celebrations spilled over to the Boxfresh flagship store on Covent Garden where the winner of our Cut and Paste 2007 campaign was presented her Raleigh/ Boxfresh BMX and £1,000 prize money. Boxfreshers and partners moved onto a mezze of B'Stilla, Bellydancing and Bonding for what turned out to be a successful, productive and standard setting launch.

Evolving Styles this Friday

The huge success of the first two auctions has already set the tone for this summer’s most original night out. However, this Friday’s event is the one that graff-heads, aficionados, artists and art collectors have really been waiting for. Making an exclusive UK appearance will be the legendary Lady Pink - the most famous female graffiti artist in the world. Lady Pink (who you may remember from her starring role in the seminal hip hop movie, Wild Style) will be creating six original canvases live on Friday night, which will then be auctioned off for charity. As if this wasn’t enough, we also have acclaimed artist, Nick Walker who, along with Banksy, is one of the originators of the infamous Bristol stencil scene. This is a rare opportunity for anyone to invest in a piece of street art history*and highly valuable works of art*with all proceeds going to charity.

Naturally an event of this magnitude requires music to match, so in the interests of getting the party truly rocking, we have enlisted the help of the mighty Punks Jump Up to provide the evening’s soundtrack. At 8p.m. the auction begins where anyone can bid on their preferred canvas. At 9p.m., the highest bidders will get to take home their one-off pieces of art with them.

Evolving styles in association with Boxfresh

Ahead of us launching our ad campaign in August, we will be starting to sow the seeds with a street based art project called 'Evolving Styles'.

The event, which we are the lead sponsors of, will take place each Friday during the month of July at Cargo (around the corner).

The concept is simple - world famous street artists creating one off pieces in front of a live audience and then auctioning the work off at the end of the evening for charity. This is all outside with a 200 capacity crowd, soaking up the summer sun, to DJ sets and a few cocktails..
